Watch the replayExtended Access Control: The Future of ePassport

Extended Access Control (EAC) ePassports represent the next generation in secure machine-readable travel documents (MRTD). While current Basic Access Control (BAC) ePassports are in production in many parts of the world, EAC is the "second generation" of ePassports, helping ensure that only authorized entities are able to access biometric data — iris scans and/or fingerprint — stored on the contactless chip within an ePassport.

With the upcoming European Union requirement for EAC ePassports on the horizon in June 2009, governments are evolving their ePassport programs. Entrust, a leader in ePassport security innovation, has developed a public key infrastructure (PKI) to securely enable governments that are evolving to EAC-based ePassport infrastructures.

Entrust invites you and your team to join us for a web seminar entitled, "Extended Access Control: The Future of ePassports," which will explore ePassport trust infrastructures and EAC PKI. Led by Entrust Government Director Craig Delmage and PKI Product Manager Mark Joynes, webinar topics will include:

  • ePassport security mechanisms
  • Trust models and architectures for using PKI for EAC
  • Entrust's Country Signing Solution and Country Verifying Solution
